Doggie Surgery

Wednesday Rosie had surgery on her ears. Due to chronic issues, she had ruptured the blood vessels in her ears and they had to be drained and reworked. Oh, and an nodule in one removed. As you can she, she was looking ever so stylish on her return home. The incisions are on the inside of the ear and heal unsutured. X ray film is stitched to the outer ear to protect and kept weighted down. The stitches and film get removed in 3 weeks. The first evening didn't go so well, many water bowl failures as she would attempt to drink and then flip the bowel with the e collar. I removed the collar for food and sleep, and she has paid little attention to her wounds...which is good, as I gave up the fight this am to put the collar back on this morning.

No ride Wednesday eve due to above, and road the trainer last night due to rain. 7-8 hours of riding on the schedule this weekend. I'll am alreay looking forward to monday, a rest day.
